Danielle Bickel
Danielle Bickel has been a dancer for as long as she can remember. She started to study ballet at the age of three and quickly progressed to all forms of creative movement. By the time she entered College at the University at Buffalo she knew performance was what she wanted to focus on for the rest of her life. Danielle graduated in 2004 with a Bachelors Degree in Theater Arts with a minor in Dance. Right after graduation Danielle auditioned for the Buffalo Bandits Dance Team; THE BANDETTES!! She remained a corner stone of the Bandettes for the past five years. During her time with the Bandettes Danielle became one of the main hip-hop choreographers and last year was the team’s Co-Captain. She is hanging up her pom-poms and is excited to start the next chapter of her dance life with Sherry Martin’s school of dance as one of the new hip-hop teachers. Danielle looks forward to meeting all of you and can’t wait to watch all of her students grow as dancers and young artists.
Ashley Currey
Ashley has been dancing since the age of three. Growing up, her training was done at Mary Alice’s Dance Studio in Orchard Park. Ashley is entering her senior year of college where she is pursuing her BFA in Dance, at the University at Buffalo. She has been a member of the Zodiaque Dance Company for the past two years and has had the privilege of working with Jon Lehrer and his company where she has performed a piece of his repertory. This summer she will be attending the Joffrey Jazz and Contemporary Intensive in New York City. Ashley enjoys the performance aspect of dance and hopes to continue performing after she has graduated. She is also looking forward to teaching at Sherry Martin’s Dance Studio this upcoming year and sharing her love and passion for dance with her students!
Andrij Deneka
Orginally from Buffalo, NY Andrij is a dance educator, choreographer and performer. He has worked with such artists as Kylie Minogue, Marc Anthony, Stevie Wonder, Mary Mary, Gregory Hines, Donnie Osmond, and Disney’s Selena Gomez. Andrij has many TV, live performances and music video credits to his name including; the MTV Movie Awards, The TVLand Awards, Wella Hair “Trend Vision”, Nike, The International Dance Festival in Korea, the Winter Olympics, The American Choreography Awards, Jazz Dance World Congress. He has done commercials for Coca Cola and has toured throughout the US, Europe, Asia and Mexico with Instincts Live Media Dance Company. Over the past 10 years Andrij has been awarded scholarships to the Edge in Hollywood and Gus Giordano in Chicago. He has assisted many well known dance instructors such as Liz Imperio, Joe Termaine, Doug Caldwell, Desiree Robbins and the choreographer of High School Musical Charles Klapow. AJ is also a guest teacher/choreographer at JMR Broadway Dance Center in Seoul Korea and Performing Arts High School in NY. Recently Andrij has found success in modeling and was a featured model/dancer in the Green Initiative show during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
Stacey Wawrzyniec
Stacey began studying dance at Little Red School House in
Rochester, N.Y. There she trained extensively in tap, jazz,ballet, and
modern disciplines.She has competed nationally and won numerous
accolades for outstanding performances. Stacey's experience also
includes varsity and collegiate cheerleading. She has worked as a
junior varsity coach and founded the Nazareth College Dance Team where
she trained and provided choreography for a troupe of twenty dancers.
This summer, Stacey completed her second year in the Dance Masters
Teacher Training Program at the University of Buffalo.
Hayley Williams
Hayley Williams leads an international dancing and teaching career. She
has toured with numerous artists and dance companies throughout the
United States, China, Japan, Iraq, Kuwait, and Canada. Well-versed in
many styles of dance, Hayley has studied tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical,
hip hop, musical theatre, pointe, acrobatics as well as flamenco, and
break dancing with many famous teachers at the prestigious Broadway
Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre
in New York City. Hayley has danced professionally as a Buffalo Jills
and the Cleveland Cavaliers Dance Team. She was a principle dancer in
Torey Nelson's "Live Co" dance company and has been a back-up dancer on
tours with artists including Grammy Award winner, Brian McKnight, Lil
Mama, Bow Wow, Omarion, Yesin Abdur, Ryan Leslie, VIC, Estelle, and
Lloyd. Hayley has danced on MTV's My Super Sweet Prom and America's
Best Dance Crew audition special. She has also been a principle dancer
in NYC and LA's Carnivals Choreographers Ball, Sybarite, and for
National Dance Weeks NYC Performance Showcase.
